I skipped last week because of being on vacation and oh, did my books stack up for this post! Let's get started:
For Review:
His Mistress By Christmas by Victoria Alexander. Kensington Books put out a call for reviewers on their Facebook page, and I was happy to get this historical romance from them! It came with a signed card from the author also.
Won:
Dead Iron by Devon Monk. I really love this author and was thrilled to have received this from Book Faery! Many thanks to Tori and ROC/Penguin for providing this title.
Borrowed:
Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson. An ARC my girlfriend was able to pass on to me. I am finding I am liking these apocalyptic tales, whether involving zombies, robots, or maybe eventually robot zombies?
Library:
The Blue Place by Nicola Griffith.
If I Stay by Gayle Forman.
These were sitting on my library's "Free" cart out front. Normally I tend to walk by as it gets picked over pretty regularly, however I decided to browse through it on a day that had a lot of books. Weeding must have happened!
Bought:
Oh yes, I found more used bookstores. Raven Books has opened up in Greenfield (and is really nice!) and we made it up to Brattleboro VT to take a look around.
You Grow Girl by Gayla Trail. I have always borrowed this from the library and was so excited to see it on the shelf.
The Circle Opens: Magic Steps, The Circle Opens: Shatterglass and Trickster's Choice by Tamora Pierce.
I think I have said enough about my adoration for Pierce's books.
A Small Sacrifice by Ellen Hart.
Homicide in Hardcover by Kate Carlisle.
Through the Grinder and On What Grounds by Cleo Coyle.
Oolong Dead by Laura Childs.
I cannot resist adding to my mystery collection.
Happy Reading!
